One thousand people attended the Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband concert on Friday night at the Cherry Creek Resort in Richmond. Dustin Hansen is in charge of marketing and promotions.
“A good show for Ryan Shupe, he’ll have in the upwards of 1,200 at the Sandy Amphitheater,” said Hansen. “The band would be extremely happy if you asked them what the turnout was.”
The concert progressed as the sun set in the west. The audience sat in lawn chairs and on blankets enjoying the music while children played in the background.
The concert was scheduled to end after 9PM but Shupe and his band went on past 10.
Denise Smith said this is her second concert at the resort and that she came for one reason.
“Just good music,” Smith said.
Hansen said that the concert benefits a charity.
“It’s tied in with Racing For A Cure so, breast cancer awareness.”
The resort is making preparations for nationally known artists Kellie Pickler, Sawyer Brown and announced Friday that the American Authors have been booked for August.
