It’s the Weekend: May 30-June 2, 2019

From end-of-year school parties to the Little Red Riding Hood bike race to Hot Wheels and Hot Dogs, there are a lot of great things to do around Cache Valley this weekend, and we’ve got all the details right here.

Graduations

Congratulations to all the high school graduates who have celebrated their graduations already. This weekend Green Canyon, Ridgeline and Bear River have graduation ceremonies on Thursday, with Logan’s on Friday.

Multi-School Dance

Celebrate the end of school at a big multi-school dance at the Cache County Events Center Friday night. Any student with a high school ID is welcome to attend and it starts at 9 p.m. Friday night.

End of School Bash

Or, if a big dance party isn’t your thing, the Jump Zone is hosting a ‘Best of the ‘80s’ End of School Bash. It starts at 9 p.m. and includes pizza, black lights, games and prizes.

Book Sale

The Friends of the Logan Library are having a huge book sale this weekend at the Logan Library. It starts on Friday and actually continues into the early part of next week, as well.

Little Red Riding Hood

This Saturday is the Little Red Riding Hood bike ride, and this year’s theme is Ride for the Roses. Loop through beautiful Cache Valley in your choice of five different, non-competitive distance rides. The ride for women only raises money for the fight against cancer in women.

Western Horse Show

USU Extension and Cache County 4-H are hosting the first of several Western Horse Shows this summer. It begins Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at the Cache County Fairgrounds.

Horses and Humans

Speaking of horses, they are the topic of this weekend’s Family First Saturday at USU’s Museum of Anthropology. Horses and Humans, and how they became such good partners begins at 10 a.m.

Hot Wheels and Hot Dogs

Kick off summer with Hot Wheels and Hot Dogs at Hyrum City Square. Vehicles of all sizes, shapes and conditions are welcome. It’s a big fundraiser for the Hyrum City Museum and begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Salmon BBQ Fundraiser

If you’re looking for some great food, head over to Garland for their annual Garland Fire Department Salmon BBQ fundraiser. It starts at 3 p.m. at the Garland Armory.

South Towns Got Talent

Finish off your weekend with some great entertainment at South Towns Got Talent. The talent show begins at 7 p.m. at Mountain Crest High School and features the amazing talents of residents from throughout the south end of Cache Valley.
