Logan City Environmental Department offers to take your old tires

If you have old tires you need to get rid of, now is the perfect time.

The Logan City Environmental Department is hosting a tire amnesty event for all Cache County residents in an effort to help residents properly dispose of tires.

On May 31 and June 1, up to 10 tires per household can be brought to the Logan City Environmental Center Campus located at 153 N. 1400 W. in Logan for free disposal from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

This event is for residential customers only – businesses are not eligible.

The city will not accept extra-large tractor or heavy equipment tires.

Participants must bring proof of Cache County residency (identification, utility bill, etc) and show it to the attendant on site.

It is strongly recommended that residents check the city website at http://recycle.loganutah.org for final details about the event as tire disposal traffic will be different than regular landfill traffic.
