The Cache Metropolitan Planning Organization (CMPO) is looking for feedback from the public on long range transportation projects.
“We are looking at our regional transportation plan that pulls together a vision for the future,” according to Jeff Gilbert, CMPO transportation planner. “We are looking for interest and people to weigh in on what they see as solutions.”
Gilbert said the transportation plan outlines a number of potential projects through 2050, including the often congested Main Street corridor through Logan.
“These projects take a long time to mature, plan, and get the funding lined up,” said Gilbert. “If we don’t start working towards it and preserving our options now, we’ll be in a world of hurt later.”
The plan will also look down the road at how technology, such as autonomous vehicles, will figure into future transportation needs.
“Everyone has an opinion,” said Gilbert. “We are interested in gathering those up and seeing what it presents for us.”
The comment period will wrap up May 19th, 2019. For more information, visit www.CacheMPO.org.
