LOGAN, Utah — For the second consecutive week, Utah State’s Chari Hawkins was selected as the Mountain West Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for meets held April 23-25, it was announced Tuesday afternoon by the conference.
This is the second Mountain West weekly outdoor accolade for Hawkins.
The senior from Rexburg, Idaho, captured the 100m hurdles title at the California-hosted Brutus Hamilton Open & Challenge on April 25 with a time of 13.50 seconds, which ranks third in the MW and 45th in the nation this season.
Overall, the Aggies recorded six top-three finishes and 21 top-five finishes at the meet.
Colorado State’s Aaliyah Pete was tabbed the Mountain West Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Utah State will continue its outdoor track & field season by competing at the Boise State-hosted Border Clash on Friday and Saturday, May 1-2.
