Bryan Erickson hired as next CEO of Sunshine Terrace Foundation

The Sunshine Terrace Foundation has hired a new CEO replacing Steven Tracy who resigned from the position last October.

The new top executive officer is Bryan Erickson, according to Lee Rulis, president of the foundation’s board of directors. Rulis says board members feel good about the choice of Erickson who lives in Woodland Hills, Utah and serves as CEO of Traditions Health Care, which manages 10 health care facilities throughout the state.

“He is the president of the Utah Healthcare Association and has been for the last five years,” Rulis continues, “which brings a lot of experience, a lot of knowledge of what the health care industry is doing.

“We’re delighted to have him come aboard. He starts April 13.”

Rulis says the new CEO is a graduate of Utah State University who worked as a CNA at Sunshine Terrace while he was in school, his first job in the health care field. Erickson and his wife are the parents of four children.

Rulis also expressed thanks to former Logan Mayor Randy Watts who volunteered to serve as interim CEO for the foundation until a new person was hired.

“For him to do this, it worked out to be exactly what we needed at a time we were scrambling and looking to see where we were going to go,” says Rulis. “Randy stepped up and has done an unbelievably good job.

“The people there really, really enjoyed having him as their interim CEO. It is a lot of work but he has done well. The board can’t thank him enough.”
