In conjunction with the 62nd National Day of Prayer the Second Annual Cache Valley Christian Prayer Breakfast is Thursday from 7-9 a.m. at the Riverwoods Conference Center in Logan.

Just like last year, Bill and Joan Miller are coordinators of the Cache Valley event.

“We gather to pray for America and for our leaders and those in authority, both in our national government and our local leaders,” said Joan Miller. “We pray for our churches and schools and businesses and for those in any kind of positions of authority and leadership.

“We have six different categories of prayer and six different pastors from different churches in Cache Valley and each will be leading prayer in one of those categories.

“We will also be praying at our tables. We will be praying in agreement with them.”

Joan Miller said she was involved in similar events in California, including the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast when she lived in Sacramento.

“Events like this are exciting because they’re community events with those who really believe that God is still in control of things in our lives and in our world. We invite anyone who wants to join in prayer with us.”
