Ballet company performs Cinderella this weekend

People of all ages are expected to appreciate the classic tale about Cinderella when it is performed this weekend by the Cache Valley Civic Ballet.

Artistic Director and company founder Sandy Emile says there are approximately 70 dancers in the show. This is the fourth time the ballet company has performed Cinderella although it has been different each time.

Among the cast members is ballet star Stephanie White who will be dancing the role of an ugly stepsister.

“My whole cast is wonderful to work with. I just love the dancers and they seem to love doing the story lines,” Emile says. “So I encourage anyone in the valley who would like a fun, light-hearted evening out come see Cinderalla. It’s going to be May 3rd and 4th at the Ellen Eccles Theatre.”

She says the evening performances start at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and there is a matinee Saturday at 1 p.m.
