For children it is Northern Utah’s favorite springtime event and Baby Animal Days at the American West Heritage Center opens Thursday, April 4 and continues through Saturday, April 6.
The hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day but executive assistant Rebecca Getz said people should plan to arrive early to get a good spot in line.
On KVNU’s Crosstalk show Wednesday, Getz said the baby bears will be there early thanks to the sponsorship of USU Charter Credit Union. She said kids always love the petting zoo.
“We’ll have foals, we’ll have calves, we’ll have piglets and we’ll have bunnies as well,” Getz said. “All of your regular, normal farm animals will be out there and you’ll be able to pet them and hold them and touch them and get nice and cuddly with them.”
Special activities include a Little Buckaroo Rodeo, pony and train rides, a candy cannon, and the Willow Park Zoo Wildlife Show.
