LOGAN— Republicans have been told they are not going to be winning elections until they start working with Latinos. Former Cache County Republican Party Chairman David James said party members should start getting serious about immigration reform.
“I still believe that if we really dive in and attack some of the real problems that everyone pretty much agrees on – drug smuggling, human trafficking, issues with disease and whatnot – that we can make progress. It’s one of those areas we need someone to stand up on really show some leadership.”
James, who now serves on the State Republican Central Committee, said once they start to get involved, a path of opportunity will open up.
