Fire alarm at Logan Tabernacle

Fire crews reporting to fire alarm at Logan Tabernacle

LOGAN — Fire fighters responded to a smoke alarm at the Logan Tabernacle Sunday night. Crews reported a slight smell of smoke but no visible signs of fire when they arrived at the historic building, owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

A small number of people were meeting inside the building at the time and were evacuated as a precaution. Crews believe the smoke came from a malfunctioning fan motor in the Tabernacle pipe organ.
