Tenth West in Logan closed to through traffic from Saturday to next Thursday

Ogden – The Utah Department of Transportation advises motorists that Tenth West in Logan will be closed beginning Saturday, Feb. 16 from 200 North (State Road 30) to 400 North, until next Thursday, Feb. 21.

Tenth West (aka 1000 West or SR-252) will be closed to allow for the construction of sewer line crossings to the east side of the road. The crossings are being placed by Logan City as a part of the larger Tenth West Reconstruction Project.

During the closure all traffic will be re-routed based on the type and size of vehicle. All large truck traffic will detour around the closure via West Gateway Road at 400 North and 200 North (SR-30). Passenger vehicles will detour around the closure via East 400 North and a connection with 200 North (SR-30) at 850 West.

Motorists and truckers are strongly advised to plan their routing in advance during this closure, as no non-construction vehicles will be allowed through the closed area. Electronic message and other signs will clearly describe and mark detour routes. Motorists are strongly advised to obey all traffic rules when traveling on local streets.

For general information about impacts related to this project, call the Tenth West Reconstruction project hotline at 888-427-8585, e-mail tenthwest@utah.gov, or by visiting the project website at www.udot.utah.gov/tenthwest.
