Infrastructure a high priority for Jensen

For many years Tom Jensen has been part of almost every major planning effort in Cache Valley: Cache Initiative, Envision Cache Valley and Cache 2010 just to name a few. Now Jensen, who is founder and senior principal of Architectural Nexus, Inc., wants to help plan for the future of Logan so he’s running for a seat on the Logan Municipal Council. Jensen says Logan is in great shape financially, considering the current economy, but he says a lot of work on infrastructure needs to be done. He says Logan needs to start building where the infrastructure is in place. “There is a project that I know is being applied for in Logan City,” Jensen says, “and it is bringing housing to within half a block of the center core. This is wonderful. “The infrastructure is already there. It will bring people, it will bring retail, it will bring parking. It will bring things to the center core of the city and we don’t have to add infrastructure to it. We don’t have to add new roads.” Jensen says it would help make it a more walkable community and a walkable community is a healthy community.
