Karl Ward says his 12 years on the Logan Planning Commission and 34 yeas as a Zions Bank senior vice president help qualify him for a seat on Logan’s Municipal Council. Ward is one of 13 candidates running for three seats on the council. On KVNU’s Crosstalk show Thursday, Ward said he’s long been conerned about traffic flow but he does feel the city has made positive strides in this area. “One thing that I was a strong proponent of is the continuation of the grid system in our streets and planning as development occurs,” Ward said. “That provides alternate routes for people to move as they go from neighborhood to neighborhood or area to area without having to go onto more feeder routes or busier roadways.” Ward said he feels his background would go a long way in helping to ensure that the city remains on firm financial footing.
