Sen. Hatch critical of Obama speech Monday

U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, is slamming President Obama’s Monday night speech to the American people about the debt limit crisis. On the Senate floor Tuesday, Hatch said Obama’s class warfare may be fun for the president but it is not going to solve this problem.”It was a speech very much divorced from the reality of our situation,” Hatch said. “Republicans are insistant that solution to spending crisis to raise spending crisis is not giving government more money to spend. And here’s the dirty secret, many members of the President’s own party are not keen on tax increase either.”Hatch is also criticizing the Treasury Department’s decision to roll out its $39 billion small-business lending program before the debt limit crisis has been resolved.
