Teenager struck on bicycle

A 19 year old female from Providence hit a 15 year old bicyclist with her car Wednesday night and the boy, a Logan resident, was transported to Logan Regional Hospital. The hospital was unable to release information about the boy’s condition. Logan City Assistant Police Chief Jeff Curtis said the incident occurred at the intersection of 300 South and Main in Logan. The driver of a 2003 Ford Focus was traveling west on 300 south when the light turned green. She started to make a right hand turn onto Main Street when she hit the bicyclist. Curtis said the driver was issued a citation for failure to yield to a bicyclist in a crosswalk.
