Logan airport doing well despite economic downturn

There was an increase in fuel sales. Also, the number of hangers constructed or requested for construction at the Logan-Cache Airport increased last year in spite of the national economic downturn. That information came from a report made by airport manager Rich Stehmeier Tuesday night at a meeting of the Cache County Council.Stehmeier said something he felt especially good about was completion of the Airport Master Plan which now has been approved by the Federal Aviation Administration.”One of the greatest things,” Stehmeier said, “that came from that process, in my opinion, is that some of the individuals who were antagonistic, you could say, toward the airport as a whole have now embraced the airport as a good thing for the valley.”Stehmeier will give more details aout what’s going on at the Logan-Cache Airport on Monday, February 28 when he will be a guest on KVNU’s Crosstalk show.
