Former Aggie update

<strong>GRAN CANARIA</strong>

They got a good win 71-70 over a team that hadn’t lost in the young season. Gran Canaria is now 2-2 on the season. Big game for both former Aggies. Jaycee Carroll finishes with game high 22 points. He added 3 boards and 1 steal in 30 minutes of play. He was 6-12 from 2, 2-2 from 3 and 4-4 FT. Spencer Nelson who was coming off of that MCL sprain came off the bench for 20 minutes. He was 6-10 from 2, 1-2 from 3, had 5 boards, 5 assists, 1 block, 1 turnover, and finished with 15 points. NEXT GAME OCT.31 is versus an 0-4 team so it is a must win. Those seemed to be games that Gran Canaria lost last year.

<strong>KLOSTERNEUBURG DUKES</strong>

Curtis Bobb’s team lost 74-65 to bring their record to 2-3. This year it seems that Bobb is coming off the bench. He played 22 minutes was 2-5 from 2, 2-4 from 3, 1 rebound, 2 assists, 1 block and 2 turnovers. He finished with 10 points. NEXT GAME OCT. 30 versus 1 -4 team.

<strong>NEW ZEALAND BREAKERS</strong>

Gary Wilkinson really is starting off with good season. The Breakers are 2-0 coming off a 96-94 victory over Perth. Gary Wilkinson started at forward. He played 27 minutes. He had 9 points. He was 3-5 from 2, 1-1 from 3, and 2-3 FT. He had 2 boards, 1 assist and 1 turnover. NEXT GAME is Thurs. Oct. 28 vs Melbourne, who happens to have a slow former Ute center Luke Neville, who is 0-2 on the season. This will be the Breakers most physical game of the young season according to Breakers website.

<strong>Lydia Whitehead in Romania</strong>

She is on a team called Craiova. There are 2 divisions there. North-West league and a South-East league. Her team is in South-East league with 3-1 record. Last game was on Oct. 23. Craiova won 73-43. Lydia started and played 15 minutes. She had 5 points, was 2-3 from 2, 1-1 FT, 1 steal and 1 turnover. NEXT GAME is Oct. 30 vs. 2-2 Olimpia.
